The kickoff event for NEWPORT READS 2008! is coming soon!!
At 5 o'clock March 6, the place to be is the Newport High School library (Boone Center). Margaret McBride, who teaches Science Fiction at UO, will give a talk about Ender's Game.
Afterwards, NHS students will help you learn some of today's most exciting and fun video games.... oh, and you can also pick up a NEWPORT READS button!

What kind of video games will they be playing?
Several different game systems will be set up - Wii, X-box, and Play Station. There will be a variety of game choices from Super Mario to Guitar Hero. Come show your stuff!
